Welcome!

Hello, welcome to my personal website! I'm currently a PhD student at San Diego State University in the Kevin Burns Lab where I'm largely focused on using DNA sequences to understand the spatiotemporal patterns of bird biodiversity in North America. Previously, I earned my Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington in my hometown of Seattle and focused my studies in Evolutionary Biology.

In addition to being a researcher, I teach undergraduate-level coursework at SDSU, and work as a Mathematics and Science tutor for K-12 students in the Greater Seattle area and Southern California. Since beginning tutoring high school students over 4 years ago, it's been my mission to help students achieve their academic goals through a flexible and process-based approach that students from all academic backgrounds can benefit.
